The 2020 Angeli Syrah comes from the oldest own-rooted block planted at Stolpman. Medium to deep garnet in color, it is aromatically intense and detailed, with blackcurrant, blueberry, laurel, tar and violet aromas emerging as it spends time in the glass. The palate balances concentrated, floral fruits with refreshing acidity and supple tannins, and it has a long, violet-laced finish. Drink 2022-2030.

Even in its youth, the Angeli by Stolpman Ballard Canyon Syrah has no rough edge to soften although there is still an energetic tangerine zip on the finish in its youth.
