Redemption SUR LEE Straight Rye Whiskey 750ml

Introducing Redemption Sur Lee, a first-of-its-kind rye whiskey innovation inspired by the French winemaking technique known as "Sur Lie", French for the "on the lees", and that we call "Sur Lee". To create this innovative offering, we take our award-winning classic Rye mash bill (95% rye, 5% malted barley) and break conventional whiskey-making norms by adding the backset, which we call "whiskey lees", into the barrels after distillation. We periodically rotate the barrels during the aging process, causing the "lees" and the whiskey to continually interact and adding further depth and complexity to the liquid. The result of this innovative technique is a delicious whiskey expression that is bursting with flavor, accentuated with a silky, creamy, and soft mouthfeel. This groundbreaking method is unique to Redemption Sur Lee and has never been done before in whiskey.

• NOSE - Floral upfront with a lovely nutty, woody back drop. Evokes deep fruit notes of dried mango, bergamot orange, and baked apples.
  
• PALATE - Round, rich and soft with decadent nutty and buttery notes that envelop the palate. Supporting notes of toasted marshmallow, maple, and nutmeg, balanced with undertones of fennel and caraway.
  
• FINISH - A lingering finish that coats the palate. Spice fades into a hint of warming sweetness with flavors of pie crust, sweet pine, buttered popcorn, vanilla and dried fig.
